Walt Disney World VIP Tours: The Complete Guide

Your own guide, private transportation between parks, and a day built entirely around your family. Here's how Disney Private VIP Tours work, and how I help you get the most from yours.

What a Disney Private VIP Tour Is

A Disney Private VIP Tour is the most personal way to experience Walt Disney World. Your own Disney Private VIP Tour Guide builds the day around your family. Tell them what you want to see, and they shape the tour to match.

Your day starts with a private vehicle pickup from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or another select hotel, with door-to-door service between parks.

What's Included

  • Pre-arrival planning with Disney before your tour
  • A flexible start time that you choose
  • Visits to multiple theme parks in one day
  • Efficient access to many of your favorite attractions
  • Insight and stories from your expert guide all day long

Pricing and Booking

  • Rate: $450 to $950 per hour, depending on the season.
  • Park tickets: Valid admission is required for every park you visit and is not included. Park reservations may also be needed.
  • Party size: Up to 10 guests, including you and any infants.
  • Booking window: Up to 60 days in advance. Availability is limited, so early booking matters.
  • Cancellation: Cancel at least 3 days before your tour, or a fee equal to 2 hours of your tour rate applies. Tours booked inside a Walt Disney Travel Company package follow that package's terms.

Know Before You Go

  • Guests 17 and younger must be with a parent or guardian for the whole tour.
  • Tours go through security screening, including bag checks. Bring government-issued ID.
  • Cameras, video equipment, and phones can't be used in backstage areas.

How to Decide If It's Right for Your Trip

The question I ask families first is simple: what would an extra day of park time be worth to you? A VIP tour compresses what might take two or three days of waiting in lines into a single, well-paced day. For short trips, that math often makes the decision for you.

  • Short trips: when you only have a day or two in the parks, a tour helps you experience far more of them.
  • Peak weeks: holidays and school breaks bring the longest lines, which is when a guide's routing matters most.
  • Mixed ages: grandparents, teens, and little ones rarely want the same day. A guide keeps everyone together without compromise.
  • Celebrations: birthdays, anniversaries, and once-in-a-lifetime trips deserve a day with no logistics to manage.

If your trip is longer and your dates are quieter, a well-built park plan can accomplish a lot on its own — and I'll tell you honestly when that's the better fit.

Making the Most of Every Tour Hour

A little preparation before your tour day goes a long way. These are the things I walk my clients through before their window opens:

  • Book the moment your window opens. Tours can be reserved up to 60 days out, and popular dates go quickly. I track that date for you.
  • Know your must-dos. Share your family's priority list with your guide during pre-arrival planning so the day is shaped around what matters to you.
  • Plan dining around the tour, not during it. A relaxed dinner after your tour hours keeps every paid hour focused on the parks.
  • Think about park order. Starting at the park with your longest wish list and hopping later usually fits more in.
  • Dress for a full day. Comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a portable charger keep the day easy from pickup to drop-off.

When a VIP Tour Is Worth It

My Take

A VIP tour shines on your busiest days: holiday weeks, short trips, milestone celebrations, and multi-generational groups where everyone wants something different. It turns your biggest park day into your easiest one.

The secret is planning around the tour. I'll help you lock in the date the moment the 60-day window opens, pick the right park order, and plan dining around your tour hours so every hour goes toward the magic.
